PDF and EPUB accessibility services
We are delighted to announce that the Accessible Digital Documents Company has been successful in its bid to become a G-Cloud 10 supplier, having previously been approved to provide G-Cloud 9 PDF and EPUB accessibility services and training.
We are the UK’s longest-established provider of PDF accessibility services. Our founding director Ted Page has specialised in this field since 2003, and we have specialised in EPUB accessibility since 2012.
InDesign accessibility specialists
Now that accessibility is a mainstream requirement, our flagship training course in creating accessible PDFs from InDesign is essential know-how for graphic designers and typesetters. Also, of particular interest to G-Cloud customers will be our InDesign accessibility services. For documents that need to be updated periodically, it is likely to be considerably more efficient to make the InDesign source files accessible, rather than doing so in the PDF itself. We have unrivalled experience in this area.
Public and education sector clients
Public and education sector organisations have formed part of our client base from the outset. Our client list includes the Home Office, the House of Lords, DfT, DWP, OfCom, Ofgem, 5 Research Councils (EPSRC, ESRC, AHRC, NERC and BBSRC), the Open University, Cambridge University, and many more.
Recent initiatives
Recently we have launched our YouTube channel, dedicated to a range of PDF and EPUB accessibility topics; sponsored a Book Industry Communication (BIC) breakfast, which outlined what is involved in making accessible EPUBs; and backed the Dyslexia and the creative mindset Kickstarter campaign, a project intended to raise awareness for dyslexia through story and film.
